10" & 14" Solatube Tubular Skylight, 10 year product & Installation Warranty
These two popular sizes are available for various rooms and applications. 10" Solatubes are very effective for smaller rooms such as hallways, washrooms, laundry rooms, walk in closets and small entrance ways. The 14" Solatube will adequately light up larger spaces including stairwells, open hallways, kitchens, living rooms, family rooms and dinning rooms. In my experience I find the majority of customers request Solar tubes installed over they're stairwell & hallway areas. These areas are always neglected of natural daylight due to the hallway and bedroom walls cutting off the natural light provided from windows. Many windowless bathrooms benefit from solatube as well. New construction is a great application for Solar tube installations for the fact that the room locations can be pre planned into the project. In some cases the builder will pre frame a passage well for the tube to travel to the main floor for natural day-lighting.
Solatube Light kits where designed to replace existing light fixtures utilizing the existing wall switch and ceiling location for the skylight to be installed. The light kits are installed in the bottom elbow of the Solatube allowing for access to change light bulbs above the ceiling diffuser lens. An incandescent, LED or compact bulb can be used for the light kits.

Solatube Dimmer Kit
Solatube Daylight Dimmer kits are an effective way to control the light output from a Solatube in light sensitive rooms. In TV rooms and bedrooms for example, the bright natural daylight may interfere with daily activities requiring a system to partially diminish or completely block the incoming light. The add on Solatube Dimmer feature utilizes a low voltage wall switch that controls the motorized dimmer butterfly flaps mounted between the tubing. This method allows the system to operate in a fully open all the way to a closed position. this requires an electrician to run a dedicated power source into the attic ceiling location, low voltage wiring also has to be fed down inside the wall to the dimmer switch.
Solatube Ventilation
Add on Kit
Designed for ultimate bathroom ventilation. The ventilation unit integrates the Solatube lens cover and vent grill all in one unit at the ceiling level. The system utilizes a powerful quiet 110 cfm inline fan mounted above the insulation layer. Insulated vent ducting is connected to a roof top vent cap containing an internal damper to prevent cold air back draft. The Solatube add-on Ventilation kit are both attractive and effective. The Ventilation kit is designed to replace existing bathroom fans utilizing the same wall switch and electrical wiring. This Solar tube Ventilation kit is an excellent feature for a bathroom remodelling project or new construction as well.
Solar Powered Nightlight
A new Solar Powered Led NightLight is available from Solatube tubular Skylight
This add on product mounts directly inside the bottom tube assembly and charges from the sun during daylight hours and activates on it's own after sunset. A soft continuous glow is emitted from the two LED's providing a light bright enogh to see your way around at night with out having to turn light on
